I never really gave it much thought until yesterday. On successive runs, i got absolutely bombed by a slush ball to the head and then showered with a lift full of skiers cleaning their skis off on my head. I cant remember having this happen in years. well, never got hit by a snowball before, that was a first....

maybe its the pants that make me an easy target.

I didn't think anything of it really until someone hit me in the Kneecap with an Iceball at Wachusett. Going at speed after just getting off a mogul run added in and it hurt. Alot.

I think many skiers avoid the area under lifts. On the trails Chute and Freefall at the north face of Mount Snow I noticed that later in the day the best snow is under the lifts. People tend to either ski the left or right side and the snow can get skied off quickly there but directly under the chairs the snow stays nice most of the day.

One of my friends said he's afraid of getting spit on by kids or teenagers. I think they'de have to have perfect aim to get a hit.

Yesterday there was a group of ........yes, snowboarders, throwing bombs off the SS chair. Now I am not profiling, but I also got hit in the face by a snowball this season, thrown by a snowboarder. The kid was hauled off to security with a fake season pass no less. Just sayin...

You don't have to be under the lift. At Sugarbush 2 weekends ago and several times at Mount Snow this season I witnessed people throwing snowballs from the lift - they were targeting people way out in the middle of the trail.

I make kids drop snowballs before getting on the lifts at Sundown on a regular basis. I always assumed they mostly threw them at friends, sounds like I was wrong??

i understand, you don't want to take sides but the real answer is young kids with snowboards.

Take your rear entry boots and attitude back to the 80's.

Since when is getting hit with a snowball so bad? You guys need to lighten up. I bet you never shot a BB gun either as a kid cause you might shoot your eye out.
