Conditions: Windy, packed powder, powder, wind packed, fluffy bumps, deep powder, tracked deep
Trip Report:
Woke up and there was less snow around my car than the previous night. People waiting around until around 9:30 and wind hold was lifted for the Mountain Triple only!
Did one run on Hayride and then spent the rest of the day in the Tres Amigos glades and the trees skier's left of Lookout - and any other trees I could get into in the area.
Hiked up to the top of the Lookout double to check out what the wind did to the front four and skied down National - blown off in the middle but powder all settled on skier's left - fresh tracks were had.
As the day went on Hayride was forming bumps and the glades were getting more bumped up. Once in a while a fresh powder line could be found in the trees but this being my first tree/powder experience I tried to stick closer to other visible tracks and get some peripheral powder... and oh man it was good!
Wind hold stayed on for other lifts and I was one of the last few on the chair. Pics will follow. Excellent day capped with Duff and Donuts ice cream... and headed to Smuggs...

Trip Report:
Coooold night but woke up to the sun shinning on the mountains. Empty P1 lot with prime parking in the front I only got on the Madonna lift at around 9:30.
Warmed up with some GS action on the groomed Drifter - Link - Liftline and Upper Chilcoot - Goat path - lower FIS - good stuff.
On Madonna - Shakedown, 3 Mtn, Norwegian woods, Moneshiner's, Doc Dempsey's, and Bermuda glades were skied repeatedly. All had fluffy powder bumps or some extra untracked on the sides - those were all excellent and loads of fun!
Also skied part of Upper Liftline and Robin's run - both with bony spots - both fun route-finding/jump turning/kick turning endeavors.
On Sterling - Skied some blue groomers... Bootlegger, Smuggs Alley - both fun and interesting with few bare spots and some steeper sections. Highlander, Powder Keg, and Pirate's plank glades were all skied a few times - same excellent conditions as the Madonna glades!
I also did a run on the bowls heading to 108... I kept it "safe" and tried to stick close to other tracks lest I end up falling off some cliff... tons of fun but I'll have to go back into there with a guide
Finished the day doing as many glades on Madonna as possible and trying to find more fresh powder inbounds. Got to the top of Madonna last time at 3:54pm and finished my last run with very shaky legs - excellent day. Praise the powder!!!
