Not a trip report, more a snow-status report:
My ski bud sent me this note this AM. [He has a place 1 mile from Mansfield]
YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH SNOW THERE IS HERE!!!
[our] road was barely 1 car wide, and we have no driveway. we parked our car at our neighbors, and literally waded into the house. it was a real struggle, with snow above our waists. at the 3' snow gauge in the backyard, and i can only see the top 1" of it. for me, who wears a 29" inseam, its quite a struggle to move around. ... then add to that some drifts that are easily pushing 6' high. i wish i had a digital camera.
i'm going to put my snowshoes on and carry my ski equipment out to the road, and head over to mansfield.
