hee! hee!

You heard it here first! Sugarbush is going to 309 trails. The only problem is that we are only going to publically publish our 111 trails and 11 Wooded areas. You are going to have to follow a local or someone like me to discover the other 177. We are very protective of our terrain, so you have to earn our trust before we show you all of The Bush!

Lemme guess. If there is a tree in the middle of a trail, that counts for two trails, one left, one right.

Now, woods/glades, that could be challenging. I suspect I can come up with 800/900 trails that way. Good move. You are counting the path from the lodge to the lift as a trail now aren't you. Oh dear, there's a big problem. Who's gonna name them all?

The funny part is that it doesn't change the skier experience one iota, then again I could be wrong. If that's the game they play, and that's what it takes to win, so be it. I am happy to see the resorts do silly things if it makes good business/competitive sense. It keeps them viable. I don't want to lose a single one that's left.

It's gonna take me a long time to ski/board 309 trails. Hey, that's OK with me.
Isn't it odd. You can have 200 trails and 95% of the people will ski on 3 trails, making them the worst trails on the Mountain.

I've always been a baller..back in college I made mad loot telemarketing...I used to sell all different types of things over the phone..some of you have probably hung up on me before..:argue:

My 1st job out of college was cold calling, if you were good at it it was really good money but there was only so long you can do it before it gets to you. I chose to move onto something else for less money but I was able to develop a lot more skills, which after a few years works out a lot better. At 120 calls a day I would not be surprised if I have talked to people here too...ahh six years ago.

Killington started this crap in the early 90's.Everyone else has had to follow suit for marketing purposes.I can't say I really blame Stowe but it could have been done a lot slower than in one wack.I laugh at Cannon's increase the past 3 years. We've grown to 60 without cutting a tree.We now have 2 Gemlins,2 lower Cannon's and 2 Turnpikes. That's beside the upper and middle ones. What?

New snowfall reports and trail totals, perfectly useless together.

Personally I never knew how many trails Stowe had... when I go there, I usually only on the trails for a very short time anyway, then its off to valhalla, or the bar at the base.
