Another fine day skiing on a fine mountain with a fine bunch of people. Jimmy, Scotty, Allen, Dave, and myself made up the crew wandering through the woods today. The conditions were definitely variable but seemed to get better throughout the day...but it was more likely me just getting used to skiing it. Powder drifts and areas of pure powder were intermixed with a breakable-but-yet-not always-breakable (pure ice) crust. Good turns were had, sketchy spots were encountered...wish I had done yoga this morning, haha. All of the turns we made today were had off the gondola; first run we took lasted over an hour and featured copious turns down to RT 108 from lower Profanity.

We got a grand total of about 1.5" of new in the parking lot before we left, and it had been sleeting for a little bit already. Not expecting much additional snow but if it kept sleeting (as opposed to freezing rain) it might not be that bad tomorrow. If its freezing rain...conditions will be interesting to say the least.

Our second run took us to another uber-glade at Mansfield North that dropped us down to RT 108. This featured a very sketchy, steep, slick lower section that had about 3 more feet of snow in the riverbeds back in December. But up top, it was all golden.

This week is UVM's Winter Carnival, today had all the collegiate racers and their vans clogging up the VIP parking area ;)

Its really hard not to have fun on that terrain day-in and day-out. Another sweet day is in the book.

Pray for snow...

As always a great report, outstanding photos and entertaining commentary! Keep up the good work.

What kind of camera and editing software do you use?

Thanks. I've got a Canon PowerShot and use Adobe Photoshop for editing and cleaning them up a little bit.
