Chartis transaction happened at the beginning of the summer. Chartis is acting as a separate operation. The former companies under AIG Commercial Insurance are/were very profitable. These companies are now operating under Chartis, it was first developed into a general insurance company be called AIU Holdings (this happened last March) but they officially came out with Chartis. These insurance arms had nothing to do with the AIG chaos, nor did their strengths decrease, branding hammered, yes. AIG owns 80% of Chartis, Chartis is hoping to divorce the parent company all together.
