Today was another beautiful spring day at Cannon. Pretty much the same as yesterday, as described here: http://forums.alpinezone.com/showthread.php?t=92604
Except: Without the good company, much higher winds, and almost zero people there.

I do a small hike and pick this nice line. I'm a little on edge since I'm solo, off-piste, and it's the first time I've hit this line. But the turns are nice and sweet, I'm starting to get in the groove.......and then a freak'n big 'ole fisher cat drops out of a tree and lands 5-ft in front of me!! I stop (and possible screamed like a little girl). It takes off for about 20-ft then stops and gives me a good look before moving on. The rest of the run I'm not only picking my line but I'm looking around in the trees for the next incoming wildlife.

Mmm..I'm fairly certain I could knock one of these things out with a well-placed karate chop. I'll test this out and get back to you guys.

I'd invert my pole by grabbing the basket, and clobber him with a grip. Fisher polo.

...careful there, you know what they say, never tease a weasel, lol!

Scary strangest i've encountered was a couple at hillington wearing stuffed raccoon hats. To borrow a line from JAWS, "the head. the tail, the whole dam thing", definitely not the Daniel Boon type. Of course this was before PETA caught on.

You'd be WELL advised to get the FIRST strike in AND hope to hell it's accurate -- Otherwise you'll be singing the high notes in the choir ! :D:D:D
