Looks like the Top terminal roof of the Gondola got blown off in the wind.

I was there Sunday, Snow was wonderful Dense Snow and sleet, you could not sink into it if you tried, great to surf ski through. The only summit access was URSA in the morning, but it was closed at about 12:30 due to Ice starting to glaze on it. At that point I figured it was time to get out of there and get home. Woods are buried.

Wow, didn’t realize that was the issue, shooting star is open this week so I stayed on the sunbowl side.

The Gondola will not be spinning today. Amid the storm recovery, we discovered that winds approaching 100mph blew the roof off the gondola top terminal. Crews and contractors are on site and outlined options to get the gondola running as soon as possible, hopefully by Saturday, but for now, it will not be spinning until then. Stratton crews were able to to bump the gondola and chip towers yesterday afternoon, but there is still cleanup to do in and around the terminal, and repairs to be made, but construction will begin today to enclose the roof as quick as possible.

Really nice spring conditions Monday and Tuesday, great in the am on the lower and pm on the upper. It rained a bit last night and froze up pretty good this morning, the sun peeked out to help soften it up in spots but basically hard fast day. Looking like a mixed bag of precip next few days, need a few days off.

We skied Stratton last Saturday and Sunday. GOndi was open. Conditions were great. Everything was open. Skied some woodsy stuff and that was really good too.

Had some great runs carving up the cheese on some old school Sun Bowl classics on Saturday.
