But, they didn't get 300" ;)

Jay is really the only place in the East that gets the kind of season you just had in an off year. That's all I'm saying. :)

True.

Out here it snowed in December and early January and then just stopped. That's what killed us. We got nothing to "freshen" things up and were skiing on the same hammered base all season.

I doubt that with Sugarbush. It's certainly true with Alta/Snowbird with last year being 35% below normal. We average 500"--nowhere near that since 2011.

Incorrect. Stowe averages 310" or so and sugarbush/MRG about 270". All the mountains on the Green Mtn spine from Killington north get 300" seasons not uncommonly.

here's Stowe totals

You all whine too much or a little too snow greedy - last season rocked IMO. I would take last season again in a heartbeat. At least in the east.

Natural snow is for hippies and Luddites. I want to see a ranking of east coast ski areas by man-made precip!

I'm aware. Lived in Stowe for many years.

The qualifier was frequent 300 inch seasons that end in May like Snowbird had this season. Stowe has never made it to May. Sugarbush and Killington make it to May often, but only get 300" occasionally.

This was a "bad" year at Snowbird, but only Jay in the east equals it withe regularity - 300 inches and skiing into May

Correct. Even during the monster 2000-2001 year they shut down around April 21st. TTB hike to turns were available until early May when the run outs burned out. Upper mountain skiing held on until mid month. So basically Stowes best ever equals below average at Snowbird.
