It always amazes me at how early people need to leave at the end of a weekend. Kind of a shame after traveling all that way. Our society is way overbooked. I suppose the kids didn't do their homework when they were supposed to...

A lot of the folks I heard talking about leaving Sunday vs. Monday were considering the forcast and the likely long, snowy, traffic filled ride home on Monday vs. an easier drive on Sunday. Plus, for the holiday weekend, few time a year skier/rider, I'm sure that 2 in a row was enough to let their muscles know that they're infrequent snowsliders at best ;)

...And for many locals or relative-locals of mountains...that works out great.

I started a thread about how crowded it was at Cannon but I was only there Sat and Sun.I talked to friends that said it was prctically deserted on Monday.Looks like they were not the only one.

not everyone is in the same boat or has the same circumstances as you do. I would've liked to ski monday but with two little kids who had been living on crap food and staying up waaay too late for 3 nights in a row, getting home and having some semblance of normalcy before school starts was far more important then anything else. including a powder day.

yes, for me, my kids come first over everything. simple really.
