Day #1. It was great to finally get out this season after reading all the reports about the great snow.

I went to Allyn's at 10am and met Lostone, who was working. We talked for a little while and when no one else came, took a run. Then he went back to his Ambassador duties and I headed off. Great meeting you!

I headed to Heaven's Gate and took a run on Spillsville. Fun run. Overall though I found the moguls to be less regular than normal (I know BMM never likes the moguls at South :) ). Next I headed to Paradise woods and took a couple runs there. I was very impressed with all the snow there. Of course, I've been following the reports, but the cover was fantastic in the woods. Then headed over to Castlerock and skied Middle Earth. Fun like Spillsville, though the moguls were pretty irregular--I expect that more from Castlerock and Spillsville.

I took a lunch break, and then I planned to take a couple runs on North Lynx before heading back to Castlerock, but the North Lynx chair was closed because of an electrical problem, so I headed right over to Castlerock. After a run on Rumble, I took two runs on woods off of Middle Earth (what I think was Poop Chute) back on to Middle Earth. The woods had plenty of tracks (good for me to follow), but the snow was nice and soft, and the trees were spaced enough that I was able to go at a little more of a pace than some of the tighter trees in some of the places off of Paradise.

I then headed down to the base with the thought of doing a couple runs on Super Bravo/Valley House and then calling it quits, but I heard North Lynx was open, so I headed up there instead. Took a run on Morningstar, and by that point, was feeling sore enough for the first day. I still went up Bravo again and skied Birdland to finish up the day.

A few pictures will be added later. My camera batter died before lunch, so I wasn't able to take many.
