Resort: Sugarbush
Weather: snowing, 20's at the base teens up top
Conditions: Machine groomed, packed powder, fresh fan-made, and random hardpack/ styrofoam. Conditions steadily improved as snow fell throughout the day. My guess is 3+ new up top by 2 PM.
Trails skied: Snowball, Spring Fling, Organgrinder, Jester, Domino, Downspout, Birdland, Spillsville, Lower Ripcord
Still limited trails open with a variety of conditions on the mountain today. Did not venture down many favorites due to current conditions. First run was at 9 AM Snowball / Spring Fling with the guns blasting. Totally soft bumps that would only get bigger and better later in the day. Lower Snowball has a few funky water bars but still good coverage. Jester from the top is skiing well to Allyn's Lodge. Birdland was better than it looked from the chair. Lower Domino was sweet. Spillsville though thin in a few turns was skiing well and the best route to Lower Ripcord that was excellent with fresh powder. Last run at 2:45 was Spring Fling which offered amazing soft bumps. My son and I were literally the only two skiers on the trail during our run. Kept thinking about all the mogul enthusiasts that post here and how they would have enjoyed Spring Fling that will soon be groomed.
