Sugarbush has dumped tons of snow on their favorite spring trails. Check out the snow! Click here They are even offering a spring pass! With late February & early March wet watch April to be cold and snowy! Followed by warm sunny days and lots of corn snow!

What was the reason for going with Stein's at South instead of keeping North open with Upper FIS and a download? Exposure?

To center around the new development at Lincoln...

that's a lot of snow. But nothing will ever beat the Superstar glaciar of the 90's though. Something about skiing above the lift : )

Bingo and there is admittedly more terrain variety at LP.

There is NOT more terrain variety available at LP in the spring (I would argue that there's not anytime). If the operation was done properly at Mt. Ellen, even in a bad year, you could be open down to the bottom of North Ridge, with a minimum of FIS, Rim, Elbow, and Cruiser open. On a good year, you could see Black Diamond, FIS, Rim, Elbow, Lookin' Good, Bravo Exterm, Cliffs, Encore, Cruiser, North Star, and possibly another trail or two open through mid-April, depending on snow depth. The exposure is better, the venue is better, the snow depth is better, the skiing is better, the elevation is better. My humble opinion, of course. My apologies to those of the other spring skiing persuasion. I had a blast skiing Stein's last spring. I won't lie. But I had at least twice the fun ripping FIS and then chilling on the Glen House deck the year before.

Regardless, Sugarbush is indeed the King of Spring. Win will put on a good show again this year, I'm sure. He always does! But Win... tell Hammond and Wing I said to keep the cats off of Stein's

I did late season at the Bush in April these last two years. I enjoyed April at LP much better than ME. Granted, two years ago at ME it was an up/download and the only trail of interest was F.I.S. versus a nearly fully opened LP last year. But even comparing Apples to Apples, I would have enjoyed up/download on the Super Bravo and skiing Heaven's Gate more than the ME option with F.I.S. being the only fun steep and bumped option on the upper mountain at ME. A shorter option at that compared to the Heaven's Gate pod. LP also has a mid-mountain lodge so it can have that same type of atmosphere.

So how long do people think the snow they've built up will last for skiing, May 4th? I'm aware, numerous factors can change that in a hurry.

You know what I can't seem to find is the latest closing day Killington ever had. I know it was in June, I remember skiing there in June one year, 1st weekend. How late into June did Killington go at its latest / longest season? Beuller?

Ok! Here's the no BS answer! I like South better, and I love skiing Stein's and Snowball and Spring Fling in the Spring! And, since I am the majority owner, I am pulling ownership privilege and picking the part of the mountain that I like best! You may disagree, but there has to be some benefit to owning a ski resort. So, come ski or ride with me for the next month. I am really excited to get a lot more runs in before we call it a season!
