Wicked sweet today.
Hadn't been here in some time, but was with friends from school. Quick version is, if you knew where to go, you'd find the goods (ie waist deep, steep, rocky, chutes)...
I can't explain how gnarly the terrain was off the snowfields. It was amazing. Some of the more technically challenging and extreme skiing I've ever done in the east. The "backside" was incredible. It was technically "closed" .... We had to traverse 200 yards of pure blue ice, in no fall areas to get to the goods, but once we were there is was awesome. There was enough snow that 20 foot cliffs landings abounded!
The regular lines like misery whip (an old tbar line I believe) and some other bump/tree runs were pretty good as well.
Movie to follow in a few days!
