The skills of the groomers at Sunapee is amazing. Utterly amazing.
They blew snow Friday and Saturday and groomed the bejesus out of everything, so Sunday was actually pretty nice. It was snowing lightly all day, and cloudy, but the wind wasn't too bad, so what snow there was stayed in place.

As usual, we avoided the front face like the plague. Took one run down Blast Off. The drop in at the top was a solid glacier, but all the snow was piled up at the bottom of it. As usual, the trail was crowded and pretty chopped up. It kind of felt like skiing on gravel.

Sunbowl was quite nice. Hard pack covered in very dry manmade snow, with some decent soft depth on the sides. Skyway Ledges was excellent, as usual, as a fast, wide super-cruiser.

Lynx and Goosebumps were pretty patchy, as expected for their pitches, but not terrible. We even did a few runs in the terrain park, which had probably the best snow on the whole mountain.

The mountain was pretty empty, too- we parked in the close lot, no need for the bus.

Overall, it was the Sunapee we've come to love, well done snow despite the difficulties.

That's funny. I didn't notice your report, Hammer.

We didn't get there until 12.30, so we picked up where you left off.
At least we got to see what the lift ticket prices are going for. All things considered, conditions were pretty amazing.

Wonder if their conditions will be kept until Friday or if they will start to give up. Friday was decent last week other than the once-a-year families clogging up the trails.
