I remember attending a little party shortly after college (80's) where everybody work Birkenstocks and drove VWs. They were making fun of the yuppies with BMWs. I found it amusing.

Farfernugen! (I'm sure that must be spelled wrong)

Kinda like driving a Buick and making fun of Caddy owners.

How many degrees of separation?

Actually its more like driving a Chevy and making fun of Lincoln owners

I'll go along with that.

Hopefully not too off-topic: isn't it great how Cadilac uses a Led Zep tune in tv ads? When the band first came out, you would not have associated the two...

I just chose to spend my loot on something thats well made and doesnt drink gas....

Sheesh, pepperdawg, you can get that with a Honda Civic for a lot less money than your yuppiemobile. A civic may not be as cool as an Audi, but it will spend a lot less time in the shop.

I guess it depends on how you draw the lines...

Remember, not everyone buys those cars new. There's healthy demand by people (like me and friends) who enjoy a nice car, but cannot afford it new. Wait a few years for it to depreciate substantially. Can be done, even factoring in repair costs...

Interesting deal  I agree that those folks aren't the ones who need the deal, but can you say the same for "Jeep Owner Appreciation Days?"

Unfortunately, New England Jeep dealerships stopped funding appreciation days at the end of the 03-04 season.
I only got one season (2 days) of free skiing after I bought my wrangler.

But, one of those days was at Burke, an introduction to a mountain i've become quite fond of..
