No, that's not accurate at all - the Threedom Pass is still valid at Loon Mountain, Waterville Valley and Cranmore Mountain. The Threedompass.com website has information for anyone who is interested.

Kate, Do you know that if I upgrade my Threedom Pass to a New England Pass, will I still be able to ski Waterville and Cranmore, along with Sunday River/ Sugarloaf and Loon?

Whoa, whoa, whoa...

From Sugarloaf's website:

Please note: A combined Sunday River, Sugarloaf and Loon Mountain season pass is still coming, though we regret that it will not be coming this season. We still plan to offer this combined season pass in coming years, and for the 2007-08 season we are pleased to offer discounted skiing privileges between our three resort for Maine Pass holders.

So....
-they announced a three-mountain pass with great fanfare, listed pricing, and promised it would be on sale starting soon with prices good until Nov. 30
-as a direct result of that announcement, I delayed buying the Maine Pass for which I have had money set aside for six months
-now, after Maine Pass prices have increased, they say sorry, never mind about that other pass we advertised?!?

No $#!#@$ing way am I paying more for a pass because I believed their press release. I will call tomorrow, but if they don't give me the old price, I see a lot of VT day tickets in my future.

I also waited to buy a Maine Pass, thought I could upgrade my Threedom pass to a New England Pass, but won't happen till next year.
I would be happy to have a Loon,SR,Loaf pass without Waterville or Cranmore! Is this possible SK ?

Just looked at the WSKI 17 web cam, most of the Loaf is white with some natural overnight!

They said you could upgrade, but wanted you to still buy the maine pass first by the deadline and then it would be $100 for the upgrade to $899. It did not happen so we move on. I wanted that pass. Only two people on the river board posted anything about it. Seems more interest from the Loon side to upgrade than from the Maine side to add Loon.

That is not what the press release at the beginning of this thread (also posted on the Loaf's site) said. The press release clearly refers to a different pass available for "purchase or upgrade," and this was never retracted or modified before the Maine Pass prices changed.

Is that natural?

just a dusting, but most definitely yes

it doesn't however appear that they blew anymore snow last night on Sluice. Looks like Boyne's investing early $$$ in base building at SR instead. Probably makes more sense being closer to the major markets to try and get SR open first anyways.

Sounds like you should have a case to get the pass at the early season rate. Let us know how it works out for you.
