I am going to East Longmeadow MA which I think is only 30 mins from there and should check it out since a lot of people on here talk about it.

From East Longmeadow it will take you at least 45 mins & more likely closer to 1 hour to get to Sundown unless you're flying down the country roads, which I do not recommend. I live in the town right next to East Longmeadow & have done the drive many times. Definitely longer than 30 minutes. Hope you enjoy Sundown!

I have done the glade skiing off of the Gunbarrel trail and it's an okay area to ski with a fairly wide spacing between the tree's. There is part of an old stone wall to deal with and if you continue on the way down past that the glade get's steeper and more narrow. Eventually you will come out at the top of the learning area.

Thanks nice photo of the glades they look nice. Information is power. People should lobby to open glades when and where appropriate not keep them clandestine.

Many believe that disclosing specifics to stashes online will result in increased skier traffic. A "glade" is CT is only really enjoyable a few times a year and the more people through it, the more skied off it becomes, especially given the paltry base we have now. I don't fully subscribe to the notion that mentioning a stash online will significantly increase skier traffic on any particular day more than a couple sets of tracks, but I can understand that opinion. The tree skiing pictured above is still not totally obvious unless you know where to look.
