They're usually pretty few and far between, but the few I've met have been pretty cool.

 I was actually going to say that the question was pretty racist

The blacks at Stratton from my memory are pretty tame, especially the groomers. The only real difference between single and double diamons usually is that the latter is steeper and has bumps or natural snow.

A good comparison would be to diamonds at Sunapee.

The mountain is pretty big actually...but with the fast lifts, you can cover a lot of ground pretty damn fast.

I believe the politically correct term is African American.....and Stratton doesn't have many of those either.

Fact: Every time I see a black guy on skis it blows my mind a little. Am I alone in this?

Also, I know some Jamaicans and Haitians that hate being called African Americans, so then I call them "Darkies" and they get all pissy about that, so now it's just "blacks".

Another Fact: The best part about having non-white friends is pushing how racist you can be with them.

Oh, and the diamonds at Statton are kinda like the diamonds at Okemo, which I kinda like the diamonds at Butternut. In other words, they'd be Blues anywhere else. The only time they'd honestly considered diamonds is after a thaw/freeze with no grooming.

It also allows you to claim your not racist because "you have friends that are black"

They're not as tough as the blacks at Copper Mountain. They won't beat you up, just jostle you a little.

And having to put up with how racist they can be with you.

My wife is Jamaican and she HATES the term African-American; doubt she would care for "darkie" either.

I'd say that's about right.

Stratton does have some exceptional trees; far better than Okemo IMO. Guessing those are out of play now though.

Yeah, most people don't realize that so-called minorities are far more racist than your average cracker. Not counting the cross burning types, of course.

Want to have some fun? When you see "Race" on an application or survey, put "human".
