I keep looking at this and saying I should get one. Then I wonder why. This place has great people and some fun runs off on skiers left.

edit I could not help it. i bought one as a next year x-mass gift for my brother.

I just couldn't resist the price .. we should have an AZ North gathering. It would be great to meet up. I get tired of riding alone at times. I push myself more when I am with someone I have discovered. It is a "risk" pass but so was Ragged for me this season at twice the cost and I was disappointed with Ragged.

Why were you disappointed? I skied there last Sunday for the first time and was completely impressed.

Did you manage to make it to Ragged enough to pay for the pass?

This one's definitely tempting...Tenney may have issues but $99 is a small amount for a "risk" pass.

well, Newmarket specifically. I say Dover as few have heard of Newmarket. MWV will definitely be a close option as well and I'm sure I'll get in eight or so days between Wildcat and Black.

We'll you'll be a whole lot closer to Stone Church! Haven't seen you here a a while.

Wildcat/Black have been my preferred options since I moved here, it's 100 miles exactly to Wildcat from here.

It has been awhile and your place is a big factor in our decision to move to Newmarket as opposed to Dover or Portsmouth. It has been awhile. We used to go the Church often when my brother (SeanRTE) lived in town and we had a place to crash. The ride home to Portland at 1AM is a bit much sometimes.

So, I look forward to spending time there a lot more often after September 1st. My brother does too now that he will have crash space in town again.

Wildcat has been my mountain of choice this winter. I hit up the Sunday afternoon deal often. I still probably will go there quite a bit next season, Black too on powder days. Tenney is just a nice cheap, close back up plan for days when the snow isn't great or there are windhold possibilities at the cat.

Hmm ... so, so tempting. A lot longer drive than Wachusett, but seems like a great option for those "off" days.

Do any of the major mountains who give discounts to "other mountain" passholders include Tenney?

Hmmmm.....I've never heard of a mountain having restrictions on where the season pass comes from.

This brings up a good benefit that I hadn't even thought of though. Hopefully Jay still has that program going next winter and I can ski there for only $40 with my Tenney pass. Even if I didn't ski Tenney at all, the $99 would pay for itself in 5 visits to Jay.

Before the season I'll have to research where else other than Jay has a similar deal.

Just for completeness, taken from the site:

Welcome 2008/2009 Tenney Mountain Season Pass holders. Thanks to your overwhelming response--Our $99.00 Season Pass Special sold out to 1,000 people in less than 24 hours. You will soon receive a welcome letter followed by information on an exciting Season Pass Holder Rewards Program. In addition to the great skiing you can expect next winter, White Mountain Exploration powered by Eastern Mountain Sports will be offering exciting outdoor exploration programs in the spring, summer and fall. Watch the Tenney and White Mountain Exploration websites for information on these exciting programs or stop in at your local EMS store to get the scoop.
For those who missed out our special, stay tuned for special promotions that will be announced throughout the year.

When I glanced it, I thought White Mountain Exploration is a name for a new HSQ or something  This usage of "powered by" is ridiculous and way over used.
