Yes, i just wanted to know exactly where on mtn you can use them. i.e. at stratton sunbowl, midmtn, etc.
Mountain Credits are available for use at select food and beverage restaurants, retail outlets and equipment rental shops at the following participating Ikon Pass destinations: Big Bear Mountain Resort, Crystal Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, June Mountain, Mammoth Mountain, Palisades Tahoe, Schweitzer, Snowshoe Mountain, Solitude Mountain Resort, Steamboat, Stratton, Sugarbush, and Winter Park Resort.
and of course i just go off phone with Ikon. Dont hold me to it but this is what is was told. It actually started on 27th and goes to the 25th feb. i was told it Can be used on beer. You get the credit for going to ANY US ikon resort but can only be redeemed at above. So as krusty said, in theory you bush locals will get free 60 bucks for food at a min, retail and possibly beer (just couldnt find where at bush they take it.
and its funny as i was going indy indy friday saturday and they already may have made me go ikon friday. Not turning away 60 bucks in beer![]()
no im doing indy saturday no matter what but friday could be flexible and you are not thinking clearly, could do one lap at stratton and its activated and be at magic in 10
i want my two dollars
The way the terms read, you can scan to earn at any US Ikon resort, but the credits are only redeemable at Alterra mountains. The message is use your IKON pass at an Alterra-owned resort. I wonder how the partners feel about that? (They may not care).
Oh, that’s interesting. The way the terms read, you can scan to earn at any US Ikon resort, but the credits are only redeemable at Alterra mountains.
lifts spin at 7:45 Friday at stratton. you could do multiple laps and still make magic opening at 9no im doing indy saturday no matter what but friday could be flexible and you are not thinking clearly, could do one lap at stratton and its activated and be at magic in 10

I think you are misunderstanding. Its this simple. Between now and Feb 25 if you use your IKON pass at any US resort you will get 20 dollars in credit each day up to 3 days to use as mtn credits at the alterra owned resorts for rest of season. You are not spending any money now. For example. If you are Killington next 3 days and just ski and dont spend a dime. Then you go Stratton or Sugarbush in March (if you signed up for promo) you will have 60 dollars of credit to use at food or retail. its a no brainer people, take the free money if you are a regular (for this site Stratton or bush). The motivation is pretty obvious. Since you can’t use the credit right away, you’ll have to spend out of pocket for your lunch first (unless you’re brown bagging). Then, only if you return to those specific IKON resorts to redeem the credits.
It’s no different from enticing people to buy season tickets, knowing full well many of them will not use it!
People love “bargains”. They‘ll do what’s necessary to GET the bargain, even though they never actually end up using it.
That said, the “deal” actually help the partner resorts more. They potentially get more visit from people “banking the credit”. And only the Alterra owned resorts had to honor those “credits”.
You are not spending any money now.
Assuming you don’t eat at the mountain when skiing there, by bringing your own foodjust ski and dont spend a dime.
And if you were planning to eat at the resorts now, then you are still spending the same planned $ and getting free money to spend later. I have no idea why people make this so difficult. Alterra could have done nothing for passholders given the season out West. They tossed a little $ kickback at you, take it and be grateful. Especially for those of us on the East Coast as it has been pretty darn good out here this year.Assuming you don’t eat at the mountain when skiing there, by bringing your own food
