Nice.

I've been out a few times on Fishkill Creek which happens to run through my property. Caught a few decent browns each wade.

Waiting for bass season to open.

make some holes = big browns will show

JimG,
You outta' find some boulders and logs to plant in your part of the stream....make a home for some of those nice browns. ..Gotta take my ramblin' with a grain of salt, it's one of my pet dreams to have a stretch of nice trout stream by my property....even though the flyfishing isn't in my favorite activities anymore...

Maine Hex & Stonefly hatches...and Hoppers

Browns & Rainbows are beautiful fish John,
Bet she would get kick out of fishing the July-August Hexagenia(mayfly) and stonefly hatches up here. Adult Hexes are normally ~1-3" long with additional 2" tail and stoneflies are ~1"+. Nice, easy fishing with grasshopper patterns = a lot of fun....if you ever get the chance.
A lot fewer people flyfish flatwater(ponds & bogs) than in the past. Noone hardly ever fished the spring-fed bogs anyways...

went out yesterday morning, 3 generation trip to Jones inlet area. Got about 7 fish but no keepers as the Fluke limit is 21-1/2 inches this year and they're very hard to catch that big. Biggest we got was about 19 inches.

I'll tell her about it tonight! I bought her a fly fishing set last year and I think she's ready to try it out! We want to go to Baxter State Park this summer so this may work out, thank you!
