I would be willing to wager you will rarely see a really good skier on a pair of these.

"High versatility when it comes to changing direction"? Guess that means they turn well. So you get a high BS factor in addition to a high price.

I think you mean the 0.1%-er's or even the 0.01% -er's not "just" the 1%-er's. Considering that it takes an annual income in the US of about $350,000 to make the top 1%, a pair of those skis depending on the model will set a person who just made the top 1% back anywhere from about 3% to 6% of their annual income.

Not that I suspect that they'll sell a ton of those skis, but i'm guessing that few, if any, of the buyers will have annual incomes that are less than 7 figures, and frankly more than likely be the type of skier who is more concerned with what their skiing in (outfit wise), what they're skiing on and where they're skiing than how they're skiing. But to their credit, if they're on the hill and having fun, good for them, since in the end isn't that what it's all about??

I'd love to see an actual review of these skis. They look pretty average and I can't believe that just because the edges are cryogenically frozen means there is any performance gain.

Oh wait it's got "technology". Unlike all other skis.

It's kind of dick to say you have to be pre-approved or referred from a friend to get any, especially when I don't think any real skiiers want them anyway.

It was pretty responsive for such an expensive ski. Holds an edge fairly well. Great on groomers. Needs some stiffness to be truly enjoyable on the hardpack. Took them into the woods and the just sank in the fresh snow like a lead zeppelin. I would prefer more ski underfoot. Perhaps a Carradan with a 90+ waist next year? Definitely not a powder or crud tool but, if you're an aspiring intermediate hoping to make quick turns on the groomers, this is a ski worth considering.=)
