The new lift is great. The natural snow is almost all gone, there probably not going to make it to April unless they get some snow. The forecast doesn't look good

They improved the profile at loading of the new lift so it is a bit downhill instead of up. Only snowmaking trials survived. With no new snow and the upcoming temperatures it looks grim.

Screenshot_20240302_112814_Chrome.jpgI think this forecast is a bit more realistic

If things really go right with this storm, Jay and maybe Stowe MIGHT push double digits (after a full day of 50 degree rain).

Whoever posted that forecast on Magic's site needs to put down the crack pipe 😆

This winter we need to crack pipe to keep hope alive this month 😁

Stopping before the rain hits, spring skiing conditions today. Talisman skiing pretty nice. Trial run of running Black without Red - appreciate the faster ride up for sure, would not recommend taking anything that funnels into LMC if you expect to get back to the top without a good catwalk though. Better day than I expected on the way up for sure.

Look, there is hope. But the models have shown such hope before and we know what has happened. Different this time? Maybe, but the odds are not with us for the outcome we want - legit we will need 15-20” to open natural steeps.

Thanks for the report. Good point on a day without red. I’m heading up tomorrow. Looking forward to it regardless of what is open. There is always…beer!

We need that to ski anything in two weeks.

Wizard runout at the Lower Magician exit looks fine but just after Talisman it’s real thin. 5 inches maybe.

Anyone who has been up there recently- will the east side snowmaking routes make it to st pattys weekend?

assuming this Sunday storm comes in rain again? Looks warm again next week.

im guessing they lose the west side after this wed/thurs deluge.

My guess is they will lose Tali. The Chute and the runout being the biggest concern. They’d leave it open if it were just patchy, but getting in and out will likely put the kibosh on that.
East side, my guess would be they will have Magic Carpet>Medium>Wand>Show off. Wand was getting thin after Show Off. The run out of Magic Carpet was about 10ft wide on Sunday.

Shame we can't at least get one nice day of spring skiing in. Remember skiing in T-shirts on a warm sunny day with fun spring snow? Was a great way to bid farewell to the season. Last couple of seasons, presumably including this one, we're going out with 40 degrees, clouds and rain. Pretty representative of the winter we had. Maybe that's why there's been no Sunshine Corner lately?

That day was Sunday. Unfortunately.

It's so lame that they turn the Webcam off when the weather's not good. It should be on 365
