My girlfriend and I hiked up Magic yesterday. She was cool with an extended look at all the new guns. We hiked up LMC then Through the Woods UMC and on to the summit. It was great to see all the guns in place. The edges of the trails looked clean and the machines and "Remote Controlled Goats" did their job! I was impressed to see a bunch of hydrant repairs and some pipe repairs in process. This should put Magic in a really good position to spray snow as soon as the wet bulb and temps allow. I am very excited for the season. Go Magic!

Compared to my last hike up Magic Thanksgiving '21 it was a HUGE difference. Yes, now that the Black Chair they can tackle other projects.

Yep, that's exactly what they did then. They put an ASC (round flange) to HKD (square flange) adapter on top where the 7 head would usually go.

For comparison here are some Rangers at Black that I took today. You see the nukes are on the bottom vs the SV6s where they're in the middle.

Quote from Magic's Facebook page:
"While waiting for temps to drop, our snowmaking team successfully tested our new HKD tower gun array on Lower Magic Carpet with all 25 tower guns firing all the way down to the run out with plenty of air/water leftover for the mobile HKDs needed on the run out as well! Now just add cold!"

That's a great test - water and air systems for the 400 line at least are proven out preseason.

Wow those pics are great to see. Weather looks to be turning colder over the next week and perhaps a full pattern change. Fingers crossed for end of Nov snow fun.

On Instagram, looks like magic drought a rope tow over to black mountain. Interesting—is that the one from the beginner area? Do they have bigger plans there in the near future?

Black bought it from them, and I asked about this one a while back when I saw it arrive there what the deal was....
Yes the tow is definitely gone from beginner area. Given calendar don’t think anything planned for this year. I’ll put money on it not being a chairlift.
