Hate to say it, but it's been POURING here (Vermont between Okemo and K-ton) since late yesterday afternoon. Which is a shame, because the skiing at Okemo yesterday was totally awesome -- soft hero snow on which you could do no wrong. And it was completely empty.

Hope the rain doesn't damage things too much. They were finally getting some new trails open. I think snow's on the way, though. (I hope).

It's still November. We're really not doing too bad.

Every weather web site I've been to shows good snowmaking temps. for the next 10-15 days, for the north country at least, not sure about southern areas.

After last years bad start I feel pretty good about the early season weather.

I hope the rain hasn't hurt things too much. I'm planning to be skiing Stratton tomorrow, Killington Thursday, and then back to Stratton for the weekend. At least it's supposed to turn colder tonight.

The rain is just filling the snowmaking ponds back up. It was a dry fall.

Not much damage in Northern Vermont. It is foggy, damp, and cold. The snow is absorbing the water pretty well and it is making a good base.

You guys have it all wrong. Emrace the entire water cycle. Buy a MTB for when it's dry and get a freaking White Water Boat. Great day today. I was so giddy last night about the nice steady rain falling on top of all that snow and it running directly into my favorite runs. Beautiful day one the river. Snowy Mtns. Green pines. Don't fight it. We all love to play in the rain when we're children. When is it not fun anymore?
