Cannon
You beat me to it.
If there was enough snow, the woods to skiers right of Goose Bumps look like they have some decent pitch.
Anyone every explore in there?
Your note about Sunapee reminded me. There would also be some very steep runs dropping off the upper part of Mittersill and going into Red Ball or Turnpike. Wish they could do it.yeah tram is a dead giveaway. looks great!

When I was there last year, I made the same observation. It you look at the trees, it actually appears to be two or three glades already, which must be streams running down the mountain. I was told by another skier that Cannon has stated there will be no trails on that side of Mittersill, mainly because it wouldn't hold any snow.
There must be other reasons though, because it seems to me that a gladed trail would be the answer as it would hold snow much better.
It is rocky and very steep and would be steeper then Avalanche. The reason is that the agreement states only preexisting trails. But hopoefully some locals will now perform what the locals did at Stowe.
That would be great if Cannon had a boundary-to-boundary ski policy. I'm afraid you'd get your ticket pulled if they caught you coming out of those woods. Especially considering all the fight that was put up over nature conservation at Mittersill (ie. no cutting of new trails).

That areas also faces due south. Think of how infrequenty kinsman is open and then compound that with a due south exposure.
My home ski area still has snow on it from last season.
And Obama is staying here this weekend for his first vacation in office. While I was working on the roof of a condo next to the ski area's parking lot, four big helicopters with " US Marines " written on them landed 200 yards away from me. Then, Marine 1 landed along with a couple other bad ass looking smaller copters. Then they all took off again. Pretty exciting stuff for a ski area out here.
Maybe my black lab can play with Bo The Water Dog.
I thought he was going to the Vinyard?
