I just don't care as much anymore. It takes them well over a year to produce what, like 12 shows? Fuggedaboudit.
I think the writing in 24 is on par with the Sopranos, they do it yearly and actually have a seasons worth of programming. I think the writers and the actors just got too full of themselves.
My wife, however is a Sopranoholic.

I never got into the Sopranos, but I suppose it is good to see HBO let a series run its course. I was into Six Feet Under, and was pleased with how that ran to a logical conclusion. I was REALLY pissed that I got REALLY into Carnivale, and HBO killed it after its 2nd (of 6) season. Then I got into Rome, which is now in its 2nd (and FINAL:angry: ) season. Never got into Deadwood, but I hear that it has the same fate.

Deadwood was my favorite TV show of all time. I was bummed when they cancelled it without even wrapping up the story lines.

I like Rome. I didn't know this is the last season.

Yep, looks like it fell into the "Too expensive to produce" category.

I hated that they canceled Carnivale, I loved that show, much better than the Sopranos or any other one. Very dark, very mysterious and had some great twists and characters. So pissed when they canceled that.
If they canceled the Sopranos instead I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

I'm with Paul on Six Feet Under. That was the best most underated HBO show. Unlike the other shows they have SFU grew on you. It improved season after season and the storylines were consistent, tangible and gripping. Very dark at times with great humor and real good acting. Just loved the show and felt that the ending was spectacular.
