We are going. I take it your not a fan. That doesn't surprise me.
Enjoy the drag shows I guess. We are there to ski. Not sure what drag shows has to do with Skiing or why one’s sexual preference or predilection has to do with skiing. I guess the SB management really thinks it’s important.

Heard someone at the Hyde last night saying they've never seen the snow melt so fast. This is what happens when there are no freeze thaw cycles or rain events during the regular season.
Is the theory behind this that because of no freeze/thaw cycles, the bulletproof base isn't there and the base snow is soft and more susceptible to the warm weather?

Are you also bothered by Sugarbush’s Easter Service in April ? What does one’s religious preference or predilection have to do with skiing ?

I think the woods are likely cooked at Ragged but the snowmaking runs remain with good depth.

Yes...

Keep in mind a substantial amount of the snow received this year was also of a very light consistency. Fun to ski in when first falls, but doesn't help build the base and stick around. You need some snow with a higher water equivalent to give it more density so it doesn't melt as fast.

Snow can also last longer without a freeze/thaw if it is simply the denser variety. So you don't necessarily need to wish for a freeze/thaw every year to give a longer lasting base. Just wish for some denser snow to build a more durable base with higher water content. Then get refreshes of lighter snow on top of that...

This is also why the snow-making trails will melt out slower than the natural trails (regardless of the depth differences).

Yes, but remember too that snowmaking snow is not a delicate flake pattern, more like little tubes that don't break apart/crush as easily as well.

True, but I'd also argue that denser base building snow that comes from Mother Nature is not really a delicate flake pattern either.
