Nope. I told people to move along. Never mentioned anything about steins or snowmaking. I think I am "Blurred" to your point. Maybe it has something to do with a Head trauma on my part. ;-)

1 more lift to go.
The albatross.
Bet it doesn’t run a dozen days all season. Just think about that. Did it last year? I was there 20 days mid winter days and saw it run maybe 5 days if that. A 2 mile ? lift that serves no terrain, takes massive resources to run and will run less than 12 days a season. And a bus does basically the same job. It’s like spending $100M on a software solution when a pencil and pad of paper works fine.

It ran quite a bit last season. If they're going to run a shuttle bus they need more than 2 on the weekends

Somewhat random question...I saw American Flatbread is back to normal table service. Are they also back to doing the show up at 4 and put your name on the list for a seating later thing? Or is purely first come, first serve now?

With those statistics, of course it seems absurd. However keep in mind the current incarnation of that lift is not what it was intended to be and absolutely not what it was when ASC owned the mountain(s).

Reluctantly, you make a good point. With all the mechanical failures tough to focus on a lift that does not service any terrain. Psyched they got Castlerock going for today!!!

come on people, get a grip. Its running now and the place is empty. Shit does happen with lifts - everywhere. A lift being down for an hour - I just chalk that up to that's what happens every now and then.

The lifts not opening at the beginning of the season because of mechanical/maintenance issues, that's another story.

Good now maybe the bitching will stop. NOT!
Why should it? Until there is transparency around what went wrong and the steps they are taking to ensure this isn't repeated in the future, we absolutely should be taking all relevant chances to remind folks that this isn't normal or acceptable.

It's one thing to blow off their annual early season slowness b/c you have the flexibility to just head elsewhere and claim that's not SB's brand/market position. What has happened this year, with CR not opening until late January, is pathetic and a different animal entirely. If you're trying to downplay that, it's a YOU problem.

Mountain fired today. Plenty of fresh if you wanted to look for it. Castle had some great goods and some side stashes on trail right up through close- getting decently thin in spots on trail on most runs by close. Decent base in the woods up high but still light treading required.

On piste and lower elevation was crusty with some firm spots. Heavens gate broke for about 45 mins and gave vouchers to all who were stranded, fortunately missed that mess by a chair as I was about to load when it went down.

Is there a better outlet we can address the issues with the mountain besides roasting the place on here? Reaching out to mgmt/ customer service, anyone have an email or better idea?
