Do I have this right; family with 3 kids in Blazers (10k) plus a ski house rental (maybe 20k) is about $30,000 a year, then there's skis, clothing, and passes? Yikes.

You closed on the house? Congratulations

Soon. Still waiting on title to come in with the lawyers but we’re in contract, mortgage and insurance and all that is lined up. Got furniture selections ready to deploy. Shopping for security systems and looking for a contractor who can help me fence off the open side of the yard. Adult homeowner shit. Very ready to get on with it!

It’s the kind of brick city row house I always wanted to own down here but good luck having that for under $1M in Brooklyn Hoboken or JC

Great yard too. City lot is narrow but 145 feet depth in the yard. Eventually will build a little ADU for a gym and guest suite back there. May even dig a lap pool (more my fiancé’s thing - I am totally pool indifferent)

Open to local recs for
Security systems and fence guys. I am looking at simplisafe currently

pretty much. Save some dough sharing house with couple families. Let's not forget the gas, car, snow tires, etc. 3 kids always need new stuff - hand me downs only work so much- feet grow, Blazer kid pressure to have cool gear! LOL. And if ones in the 25-30% fed bracket, 6-10% state, your really looking at $50k earnings to pay.

I'll say this - no sport comes to mind that whole family can do together as long as you stay vertical. Worth every penny. We need feeder hills healthy again MFHHA?

No intel on MRG ski swap this season?

Congrats Krusty. I love Mother's Milk coffee stout at Keegan Ales. Don't know if they still have live music; one of my bands played there a few times like 9 or so years ago.

There used to be a big ski shop, Potter Brothers? Not sure if they are still there.
