This is exactly what we get every year. There is no surprise whatsoever. The intel is they do the best they can with what they have.
Do you think it is the equipment, operators lake of expertise or management mandating wet snow, perhaps all three.

Question for anyone who's been keeping track. What are the snowfall totals for this season so far, for Killington, Sugarbush, and Stowe?

Per each resort's respective website/snow report...totals are 25" at K, 36" at SB, and 64" at Stowe. Sugarbush as of this morning's e-mail was at 11" for the base snowfall. I'm not aware of either K or Stowe providing base totals anywhere to compare those.

When in doubt about heading to the mountain, I know I can trust the snow report...here's today's: Groomed trails will ski beautifully with fresh snow on top, and if you’re looking for a standout run, hit Organgrinder early for those fresh morning turns.

Organgrinder was the pick of the day yesterday but the runout below the Downspout crossing was a disaster. For me, I wanted to do OG again but not run the guns to get back to the chair so instead, I went home.

I have to imagine they are going to shift over to pushover soon and get gatehouse open with the colder temps this week. Looks like a great week for snow & snowmaking. Then try to get snowball going toward the end of the week.

Stowe base totals are 12-36". It's included in the daily report.

Not base as in "base depth" but base as in snowfall totals at the base is what was being discussed. Stowe only reports 1 number for that (as do most resorts)...the summit/higher elevation snowfall YTD total. Very few resorts post the snow-fall totals at multiple points on the mountain.
