Part is incoming (I heard tomorrow now) but then the lift will need certification.
Was it running earlier in the year? What would the certification process look in terms of turnaround time?

Looks like they ran them all night. Will be spicy there today. The sound of freezing rain on my metal roof
Checking cams. see shining slick
Tomorrow will be rough
Mrg running both chairs at 1145 tonight
Imagine! A fireplace in a ski lodge! Lost art, creating space for people to chat, gather round, and smell that wood. ( I know, we're all on phones now, who needs actual people to chat with) Even Mellen replaced it with a wood stove. Old enough to recall my 1st year of skiing a huge center fireplace at Killington summit lodge. Quintessential VT.Looks like they ran them all night. Will be spicy there today.
MRG report:
DELAYED OPENING AT 9:30
Buckle up, because today is going to be a wild one! Starting with the good news: we are opening today! After the hard work the Mountain Ops team put in overnight to ensure the chairlifts didn’t ice over, we’ve determined that the mountain is fit to open.
That said, I can’t promise rainbows and roses. Today is certainly a day for waterproof gear and a hearty mindset—perhaps even a nice warm soup at lunch to warm the soul. There is even a fire place in the pub that could be the perfect place to cozy up for the afternoon.
As of now, this report represents my best estimate of what will be available to ski today, but the trail list is guaranteed to change throughout the day as ski patrol assesses conditions and determines what is safe to open.
Conditions are going to be interesting, to say the least. At the time of writing, there is a crust of ice on ungroomed trails measuring about a half inch thick. this should make groomers the most likely choice for some enjoyable turns. The top of the mountain is currently registering warmer temperatures than the bottom and is not accumulating ice. This could change throughout the day, but it does open the door to the possibility of some starchy corn turns higher up.
As we move into the late afternoon, temperatures are expected to dip below freezing, and snow may begin to mix in with the messy precipitation. Hopefully, this brings some measurable snowfall and provides a silver lining to this whacky weather.
perfect quoteI just stepped the dogs out... even wearing traction devices, there were a few slick spots both me and the dogs slid.
For anyone who has to be on the roads, please drive safe.
For anyone who doesn't, whether you leave today or tomorrow, you'll probably arrive around the same time.
AND HERE'S A CUT/PASTE FROM THE SUGARBUSH REPORT AT 10:35...("All terrain will be closed today...!!!)Looks like they ran them all night. Will be spicy there today.

LOL. Not a boomer, but most definitely older than you. Love it when a kid who is barely old enough to drive thinks they know it all. Good luck with that.the education system is trash, this is such a naive boomer-ish view
anyways, hope i can find some fresh tomorrow!!

Dispite the weather, groomers are riding excellent, they're soft and carvable, perfect for dancing in the rain! All snowmaking will be turning off until Monday evening, snowmaking whales have been groomed out.
We will have over 300 skiable acres served by 11 lifts and 60 open trails, with 36 of those being freshly groomed. Groomers worked hard this morning battling icing conditions to delivers the best possible conditions. All terrain will be closed today in efforts of snow preservation. Visibility will be low in areas of the mountain due to fog, use caution and go slow. Today’s a perfect day to explore one (or more!) of our five dining options open at Lincoln Peak today. From warm hearty soups to crisp cold beers, we’ve got something for everyone.
it had me going earlier than that, with "Dispite..."LOL. I almost called that "All terrain will be closed today" out as well when I saw it a few minutes ago. Amazing how leaving out that one little "natural" word completely changes the meaning!
Yeah, it would have been a green in 1976 but by today’s standards it probably deserves a more difficult rating, especially since it’s rarely groomed. That’s part of the charm of the Inverness pod but can be lost on people unfamiliar with the zone. Why is Walt's Trail a Green Circle. I love the trail and it skied great yesterday, but it had rollers and varied terrain (rocks etc) due to it being natural. There were some beginners with rental gear stuck on it that probably would not have made that choice given a different designation. It has the pitch of a green, but the terrain and conditions of a blue. Walt's and Brambles are 2 hidden gems.
