I was at North today. It was pretty good as well. Was this day one for Sunrise? I was there yesterday and the whales were immense, even on the run out at the bottom of that trail.

Day 1 groomed with snow-making...but it has been open on natural for a while now before they made snow on it.

Weekend weather forecast significantly warmer than 36 hours ago. By the time we get to Saturday it will be +40 :ROFLMAO:

I was going to bail on Saturday but all of a sudden an air temp of 9 with -10 wind chill sounds damn near pleasant.
I was all set to post today complaining about reasonable weather during the week and absurdly cold weather on the weekend and saying I was contemplating it not being worth the 10 hour drive. Then I saw the forecast significantly changed. Read the full NWS forecast discussion as well to make sure it wasn’t just some mistake with the new forecasted temps.

Saturday will be bearable, if the new forecast holds. Not warm but not ridiculous. Good day for laps on VH or GH/NL.

Sunday not so much, though sunny, just to mock us.

Models have been slowing arrival of system, and notably the arctic front. Saturday could be just another normal - for 2025/25 winter - cold day with some fresh snow.

Sunday will be another story, though sunny.

What an amazing morning. 4" at mid and 6" up top. Laps on elbow before I had to go.
Went to MRG today after South on Monday and North yesterday. Today was one of the best days of the season. Similar totals at top and around mid station. There was no mention of snow up there. Down in the valley (Rte 17 in Fayston). only a 1/2 inch on the car to clear off.
