For those of us out there today it was definitely wind. Surprised North Lynx and HG didn't shut down too. Wind really started to pick up around 11.
I was checking out the webcams earlier - When the wind is pushing the evergreens around at walt's, you know it's breezy

Wind was definitely a issue yesterday. Bravo was pretty brutal even after they reopened it around lunch. I stuck to Gate House, N. Lynx and Castlerock and it was much calmer over there.

Random question as I'm poking around the map. There's a "trail" that's always roped off to the left of Allyn's Traverse. I've always assumed it's related to electrical utilities but figured I'd ask this group. Anyone here know what this "trail" is?

Pretty sure it was a cat/maintenance road that came from Organgrinder. during the Gondola days. The section off Organgrinder has grow in.

Yes, Rd 22 I believe it is called. In the original pic Google maps have Allyn's Traverse labeled as Jester, what is labeled Allyn's Traverse by Solar is Lower Jester.

No, allyn's traverse takes the right and goes to allyn's lodge. Jester continues straight and becomes lower jester and crosses downspout at lower jester below domino chute. There is no snowmaking on that short stretch of lower jester from allyn's traverse to where it meets downspout so it doesn't get skied a lot. It's the summer work road.

Yup...Allyn's Traverse goes towards Allyn's Lodge (I'm assuming that's why they named it that). That short stretch of Jester with no snow-making is a nice little peaceful detour.
