This weekend's prospects?

Hopefully will get out for the first time this weekend and trying to figure out where. Any suggestions for NH/VT/ME? I was even thinking about going somewhere to skin, but not set on that yet. I really just want to get out and make some turns finally. Is this weeks weather going to make this coming weekend a bust?

We will be at Mt Snow on Friday. They will have had several days of good snowmaking temps by then, and I will be BULL$HIT if conditions suck.

Head north to Sunday River. Crowds will be thin and the amount of terrain is really just amazing. Take a look at Loafer 89's picures in his trip report from yesterday. There is plenty of snow.

Snow advisory tomorrow, Gondi side won't be open yet, makes for some good payoff. I've been thinking about hitting burke for a tour day this weekend, prolly sunday since they don't plan on opening until the 8th or some crazy thing. NVT.

I would be hesitent to hit Burke this early. I would think the rain event last week hit Burke hard and they certainly didn't have the base or recovery of the NoVT mountains along the spine. Haven't heard much for reports from the NEK locals, but considering you have Mansfield in your backyard, I hope you would be heading east for more reasons than just Burke.

There is a lot of man made on Willoughby and Warrens, however I don't think the whales have been groomed out and they are probably large ice coated piles right now. Only 2-3 inches have fallen since the rain. Some natural trails near the summit may be skiable (top half of East Bowl, carriage road, etc).

I'm considering go to Belleayre if they make it worth the drive, if not I'll wait one more week and definitely kick off my season Dec 8 or 9.

Stowe was good last weekend. I've got to believe it will be even better this weekend. They should have more terrain open by then (hopefully). Northern Greens are definitely your best bet.

Sunday River should have 35 trails plus this weekend. Guess where I'll be.
