There was a political discussion raised, wasn't locked or deleted. Nice to know we can now act like adults.

I might turn a blind eye as long as everyone plays nice. But I will lock threads, (I'm actually surprised I haven't yet... ) if they get nasty or out of hand. If we are thinking of the same thread it didn't seem ALL that political.
Yes; forum rule in general still stands no politics. But sometimes politics is like porn, you know it when you see it. So don't get overzeolous now... this is an outdoor enthusiast forum, after all !

Yeah, because there were never political discussions before the new owners that weren't locked or deleted. :roll:There was a political discussion raised, wasn't locked or deleted. Nice to know we can now act like adults.

I think you should try this with the banning of GSS....you might be surprised.
Or maybe he recognizes the success the site's had with the rules currently in place, and doesn't want to screw around with a good thing.I agree with that and I get the feeling Nick might if it wasn’t for the mods. If he let GSS back for a trail period, he might be worried that the mods would bolt faster than Newt Gingrich’s top aides did when he did some things they didn’t agree with. POOR Newt.

Maybe....but GSS was around AZ for a long time and it was just as successful then.

So you actually buy into Greg's reasons for selling this site and don't believe that it's been going downhill?

Newt is just pussy whipped. I heard his aides had a big sit-down with him and told him that they thought it really wasn't a good time to go away on a vacation (cruise) due to the economy and it wouldn't look good that he should stick around and do some appearances but apparently his wife said otherwise. My wife and I were actually on vacation a few years ago in Bermuda and went out to dinner in town and who do I see sitting at a small table...Newt and his wife. Apparently she likes more than just fine jewelry from Tiffany's....she has a taste for travel as well...and keeping her man on a short leash!
