Just too darn early for it :x

Who else busts out the shorts for spring skiing?

I will be skinning in shorts(but will have long underwear under so it might not count), but will probably put on some ski pants for the way down. So I guess it doesn't count because I wont be skiing in shorts.

I don't ski in shorts, I like my skin to stay on my body. I did it once about 10 years ago and took a little sliding fall and tore my leg up pretty good.

I have an ultra light shell for these temps, wear soft shorts under it. Long Sleeve t shirt for the top.

Slush rash can be nasty if you fall. And if I want to venture into the trees, full layer can keep branchs from scratching you up.

I went skiing in shorts and a t-shirt about 3 weeks ago. Temps were around 75 all day and it was sweet. Falling in shorts can hurt, but you get over it after a few minutes.

I think I've done a t-shirt before, but not shorts from what I remember. When it's really warm out I try to just wear very light clothes, like a windbreaker and light exercise pants. That way if I should happen to fall I'll be covered, but I won't overheat. And I can always push up the sleeves if I'm getting too hot.

Don't fall. Never skied in shorts, but I've never skied when it's above 60*F or so. My ski pants are reallly just a shell so those are fine, or maybe a pair of wind pants. Short sleeved shirt? Maybe, but usually a long sleeved shirt or a light fleece.

i have only dared ski in shorts once and that was ]hiking jay peak in 60-70 degree weather last year in may. it was just simply to damn hot to put on ski pants, especially considering the fact that i took more than one run and didn't feelt like changing everytime. i didn't enjoy skiing in shorts though, you could still feel the cold coming off the snow and when snow got kicked up onto your legs, it was a weird feeling. less cushion if you banged a leg into a boot top when making a turn. the goal was simply not to fall  under similar circumstances of 60-70 with yoyo hiking, i would probably do it again, but it definitely isn't for want, but rather the need to keep cool when it is that hot out.

Best day skiing in my life was at Maple Valley in Vermont (RIP) in 70ish weather.

Shorts and long-sleeve t-shirt.

The cool thing about falling in shorts is yes, you do get ripped up but the cold snow dulls the sting.

Just got back. Lots of fun and the snow was not too soft. Nice bumps and no falls! It was the way to go
