Top 3 Favorite Views - From the Summit

1. Wildcat - The view from the top of Wildcat of Mt. Washington is just simply awesome! Nothing like it in the east.

2. Gunstock - On a bluebird day, coming off the panorama high speed quad, it is like skiing into Winnipesaukee!

3. Blue Hills - Honorable mention, since you can ski and see the city of Boston skyline!

#3 who who knows as they'll be many.

Being a Mount Snow person, I get to see this view quite a bit, and I just don't get tired of it either. Looking Northwest towards Somerset Reservoir

Also, the view from the top of Brettonwoods at the "back" of Mount Washington isn't too shabby either.

Ha. I think of the view of Washington from Bretton Woods as the "front". I guess it's because that's the first view of I had.

Mt. Sunapee for the same reason. There's one trail (Skyway Ledges?) where you turn a corner, and swear the edge drops off into the lake.

From the level section of the trail, it looks much steeper than it actually is.

Yeah, that's it. It just caught me off guard. I mean, places like Wildcat, Mt. Ellen, and Cannon you expect good views, but Mt. Sunapee was a pleasant surprise.

Personally I think the view from the top of any mountain is pretty awesome (assuming it's open enough to see anything).

I'm kind of partial to the view of Lafayette from Cannon:

This will seem silly to most here, but I also like the view from the top of Gunny at Sundown (sorry, couldn't find a winter shot):

It makes me feel at home or something.

Also, the views from Magic, where you can see a few different ski areas depending where you are on the mountain and the weather, is pretty cool too. I don't have any shots handy though.

Actually the top of Lincoln Peak looking NW with Lake Champlain and Whiteface in view is pretty cooltoo.

Also, the views from Magic, where you can see a few different ski areas depending where you are on the mountain and the weather, is pretty cool too. I don't have any shots handy though.

I have some of those somewhere. Heading up the chair towards the top you can see Okemo and even Killington peak in the distance. Stratton and Bromley are also in plain view and coming down the top of Carpet on a bluebird day you can see the top of Mt Washington (at least that is what I was told it is and it certainly looks like it)

Camden Snow Bowl, Gunstock, and Wildcat

Heavenly is the best view I've experienced in the US

New Zealand kind of blows anything else away.

I have some of those somewhere. Heading up the chair towards the top you can see Okemo and even Killington peak in the distance. Stratton and Bromley are also in plain view and coming down the top of Carpet on a bluebird day you can see the top of Mt Washington (at least that is what I was told it is and it certainly looks like it)

Isn't it Bromley to the left, Stratton straight ahead, and Ascutney (RIP) to the right?
