Top three AZers you've skied with

Maybe this will be an interesting thread. Out of the AZers you've skied with, who would you say are the three best skiers? Here is my list:
  1. 180 - Guy just rips. In fact, Alan's whole family can ski their faces off. As I understand it, he is among Hunter's top skiers and is always a pleasure to ski with. The only problem is it reminds me of how far I still need to go, if I can even ever get there...
  2. powbmps - Chris is another great zipperliner, with the ability to also throw down radical air. Glad to get to know you this season, Chris. Hopefully we'll get some more turns in next year.
  3. 2knees - Pat's a good friend and a go-to guy for me for a guaranteed fun day of skiing. A slammer/banger bumper, and fun as hell to watch. Any guy that can ski powder on bump skis seemingly effortlessly has got to have skills. Now if we can only get him to stop whining about his knees...
An interesting observation about all three of these guys. They are about as humble about their skiing as they come. No egos there at all.

This thread is not meant to be a competition, but rather just a way to give some kudos. After all, most of us want to be the best skiers we can be so I see no problem with giving a nod to the guys who've excelled at the sport. I should also point out that I've skied with several very talented skiers from this board and have learned a lot from many of you.

I have only skied with two there azers. Both of them ski as perfectly as they want to. No worries with them covering my back out of bounds

I've only skied with one AZer...Terry. For a guy who took up the sport later in life; he freaking rips. I would've thought for certain he was a lifelong skier.

Isn't this thread kind of a waste a time though? I thought it was common knowledge that Highway Star is far and away the best skier in the northeast.

Agreed on 1 & 2. I've had a blast everytime I've met up with ga2ski at the Rivah. Thought about you for your carving prowess in the old fart division but I have yet to meet that guy knee... errr waist deep (it's all perspective I suppose ) in your avatar.

Tough call on 3. I'm torn between riverc0il and djspookman. Both have beat the stuffing out of me at MRG. Only one almost killed me. I knew I was in for a great day when I ran into riv and the first run was the fall line woods. Great guy, happy to wait for me to flail my way down. Both have a similar passion to ski everything on the hill in any condition. But spookman does it tele so he gets the nod. And he's the one who almost killed me.

after that it's hard to say. Downhill04, Madskier6, JimG, MrMagic, Austin, Greg to name a few. there are alot people who rip bigtime. the first two just seem to have another gear. Or like 4 more gears.

and thats just the people i've skied with. I know there are a ton more.

I'm with ya. Alan and Chris just stand out to me too. I only said you as #3 to stroke that frail ego of yours. Same reason you included me, I'm sure. Not sure I really belong in that company above. I'm happy hanging somewhere in the middle of the pack. For now....

But yeah, lots of honorable mentions - riverc0il, JimG, HPD, madskier, downhill04, MrMagic. I really could go on and on.

j/k you'd be up there as well. Just hate these popularity contests that Greg loves starting.

Then why even reply? Just ignore it. It's not about popularity. It's about who has the skills and simply giving them a nod. Nothing wrong with that.

Don't worry - you're still the most popular AZer. Not necessarily everyone's favorite AlpineZoner, but definitely everyone's favorite guy with A.Z. as his initials, I'd imagine. Come to think of it, you're the only guy with those initials I know so it was an easy win for ya...

I haven't skied with enough AZ-ers yet so I'm not going to list anyone. But just about everyone back at Hunter pretty much ripped.

Come on Greg, you know I have to throw in my 2 cents.
