I'm sold. Love the location and the skiing possiablilties. Sounds like you have a boat too. If you see a Chris Craft with Jersey regs and the name Bubbles on the stern it will be us. We love it when people come over and raft up and my wife always supplies plenty of food and the "bar" (actually one of the holds) is always stocked. The Captain is always on board. FWIW Is there a place where all the boats anchor up?

I will be on the lookout! most people anchor up at the sand bar on the south end of the lake, usually a very popular spot in the summer!

Yeah, we have a lot of that too. Mom always said "ice cream is a good cure for everything". Think that's why we got in the habit of stopping for sundaes - tends to lessen the tension for the rest of the ride. :-?

Spring bumps at k and Curtis BBQ in Putney on the way home. havent done it in years, but that used to be a given. probably cause K closes about when Curtis' opens now.

although, i think they have a restaurant in Chester, at least i noticed the van the last time i went by.

Curtis' FTW! Although not after skiing for me. It's a popular place to ride to in the summer.

Gas at BJs in Wallingford off of the Wilbur Cross on the way up. Veggie delight at Subway in Greenfield, Mass. Phish blasting as I cross the border into VT.

On the way home from Northern VT, I will stop in in Lebanon, NH for some "duty free" shopping.

On the way to or from up north in New Hampshire, we'll always take the exit to downtown Manchester and hit the Red Arrow Diner. Been around forever, open 24 hours, and full menu including breakfast anytime.
