Most likely because they did not have enough snow for one to ski to it at the base. Have you ever ridden the tram? It is quite a ways from the rest of the ski area.

Could be. Yes, I have skied Cannon a few dozen times, many tram runs on cold days only. You just need the bottom run out to the tram from the main area. Given the front 4 closed, there is only one other trail to get you over there, I fergets the name.

I was toying with heading over there on Friday, but my options are wide open right now. Was toying with Bromley because I have a voucher, but it's "family Friday" and I like my midweeks uncrowded....

out of sync

they are now reporting the 3rd last time i checked, they changed it after that first newsletter that said the 2nd. unless they changed it back...

google cache is fun to see how websites retract info. Google seems to be spidering rather frequently these days, if my own website's statistics are any marker.

I called Mt. snow to see if nastar was running. they said yes - go to the events web and you'll see it. I said no, it's not there. On a hunch I punched in the google cache for that page, and sure enough, nastar had been posted on Sunday, but the page was updated since and not excludes it. But I did get a call back from mountain operations that it IS on.

I am getting the impression that the web site managers are not always in synch with their operation.

the snow is all piled up for the cutback. also the frontside with the exception of paulies is now open. the skiing there is very good, with really nice cruising. don't even ask about mittersill.
