I do indeed wear a size 12 boot but Im only 5'8. go figure. I agree with good boots. I remember from my days of skiing that my feet were the only things that really hurt after a day on the slopes.

There are some good prices on Ski [& Stay] With Lessons packages...(and the bigger mtns = more $$ to pay the better instructors..to a great extent(BUT NOT an Etched in Stone Law of Physics..)

There was a Dome ski sale and I missed it?!?!? Would love to make some turns with the Ragman is he's ever in Ski Country USA. Hopefully the site of Satan's Staircase will not frighten him away from the sport for another 20 years!

Dome - we need to make some turns this year. I think you could provide plenty of humorous chairlift banter at the very least

Op sounds like me in 2006-car wreck in 85 and fractured pelvis, 25 plus years away from the sport- kids got me back- I stumbled upon AZ- beware Ragman- I am 8 plus years in- hooked worse than ever- quiver of skis, skipping work for pow or spring bumps- 40 days a year.... But wouldn't trade it for anything

And I eat whatever I want, including pizza, Red Robin, and cookies. It doesnt really matter what you eat, it's how many calories you eat. Download a calorie counting app to your smartphone, set your target weight, and log every calorie that enters your body on a daily basis. If you do this, religiously, you WILL lose weight, regardless of whether you work out or not.

I was same way last year. Just started drinking water way more and cut down my portion sizes ( still ate whatever I wanted just less) and I stopped with all the candy and donuts. Dropped 30 lbs in about 3 months.

This isn't wrong. All else being equal, if you cut calories you will lose weight. That being said, what you eat definitely matters in more way than one. If you eat say 1500 calories a day of high fiber healthy whole foods over 5 small meals, you will lose weight MUCH faster than eating 2 meals a day of junk equaling the same number of calories, and your general health will be better (cholesterol, blood sugar, digestion, etc.). In fact if you eat a diet of all whole foods, you can lose weight without even counting calories or fat grams.
