Seems like they'll run into the same problem you have in skiing. Gapers will all think they're Black Diamond material, when in reality they should stick the Greens.. ;) I wonder how many people will be wondering around airports claiming to be Double Black flyers???

I only fly in prop planes. Big jet planes are like those stoopid wide groomers, strictly for the gapers.

I'm going to be an airport elitist.

Though I'd normally go through the black line, I think two of us flying international with boot bags will probably require the blues this week.

If you wear the boots that'll get you a spot in the black diamond line for sure...

Traveling on business...definitely black (although I usually check my overnight bag because it's such a PITA to put it in the overhead).

On vacation...green for sure, although my wife travels on business periodically and the kiddos have been on airplanes many times.

Talk about holding up the line taking off and putting on your shoes. Maybe that's what rear-entry boots were designed for.

Well obviously any truly core black diamond skier/flyer would wearing rear-entry boots anyway...

Okay, since you bumped it.
Severine and I went through this, in fact, I've been through it a couple times since they changed the signage.
It actually works well, because they direct you to the area you should go.
the Green is for those who are families and/or have stuff to consider. While the Blue is for folks like us who aren't savy but still can manage on our own.
You can imagine that Black is for business class who travel several times a year.

Works pretty smoothly. The Denver Airport has a lot of people go through there in a short amount of time.

When I went through this in Salt Lake City just after they implemented it, my wife and I had our 4 year old with us, so we went through the GREEN line, and while it was nice not feeling pushed by the "quicker" folks behind us, the weird thing to me is that at that time atleast in Salt Lake City they still had all 3 color lines funneling through the same metal detectors/carry on x-ray machines. I would have thought after reading about it just before I went on my trip that they also would have had seperate metal detectors/carry-on x-ray machne for each color coded line. Maybe it was just that the program was literally implemented less than a week before our trip and they hadn't mad adjustments like that yet???

Sure going to sleep well tonite knowing just how safe they've made me feel now.

BTW Kudos for charging us $100 bucks /head to cross a border that was totally free ( except for a $2bridge fee) . OH ---and while you're at it thanks Washington for screwing up our economy too

Nice work
