In 1987, they moved to their current building, just one block south on Broadway. At first the new store occupied just the first floor and basement levels of the building. Mr. Solomon remembers thinking that this was maybe too much space! Oh so wrong. By 1990, the Solomon family took over and purchased the entire building, giving them 25,000 sq. ft. Then in 1995, the store expanded again by blasting through the wall of its neighboring building (garnering another 10,000 square feet of retail space), now known as the clearance annex.
