Depressing subject, but a good read for ski areas in Central VT/NH. Quoted in the article are folks from Dartmouth Skiway, Whaleback (depressing), Ascutney, and Sunapee. Local shop owners are also quoted.

I don't really think depressing is the right word. Cold weather is coming Friday to start December off on the right foot. Again, let's get this over with now and hope for 3 consistently cold months. All will be good. I still feel it.

I think I can count the number of times I've ever skied in November on two hands. I got out once this season and got my fix so I'm cool. I was hoping this weekend would offer a closer option than Vermont, but it's looking unlikely. Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to a good season.

Greg very positive. I get close to 10 in November usually. This has been painful. Going out this weekend.... Just have to travel more.

Glad I got to see this picture. Doesn't look like Ascutney will have any base when they start blowing again.
