I have never been able to ski this trail. Everytime I look its always closed. Last weekend they reported everything was open....but that trail had a rope up. Now it did have tracks on it but it was never opened by K..anybody know what up?

If you're referring to the last section that goes right down to the skyeship base, i dont even know if they officially consider it a trail anymore. I havent skied down there in a long time though.

Yep, thats the trail. I am not sure if they consider it a trail also but its still on the map as one so I figure it is.

i just looked at the map myself and you're right, obviously. Is it closed at the intersection of touchdown and juggernothing or closed the whole way? I was under the erroneous assumption that they took the last steep part off the map entirely as i havent personally seen that part open since probably the early 90's.

I skied that trail a long time ago, probably 15 years ago or more with the old Killington Gondola still there.

Sometime in the middle 90's Killington blew out the mice with a snowmaking test on that trail in October, I have the picture/article from the K-Times.

Weird for them to bother getting the snow making equipment set up down there, at almost their lowest elevation (I think what used to be the bottom of Sunrise was a little lower).

The last time I was at Killington, I seem to recall skiing Valley Plunge down to the Gondola.

OK, it was close to 15 years ago-- before the old gondola was replaced, but still...

I did it during the Valentine's Day snowstorm....it's in bad shape.

The last drop is completely overgrown in the center, although skier's right is okay, and the rest of it has brush that was still sticking up with the foot of snow.
