17 days so far this season at Sugarbush. Fortunately the mountain offers a lot of variety and lift/terrain options and conditions can change daily.

I have never dedicated myself to any one hill. I probably ski at 10-15 different places during the season. I really enjoy exploring and following the good snow around. What's good about it is that I have a very broad understanding of the strengths of each resort, which helps when making recommendations. The downside is that I never get to know any one hill very intimately (stashes) and find myself confusing or forgetting which mt. had which feature..

This season, so far it's been Stratton, Magic, Stowe, Jay, Suicide, Darmouth, Whaleback and Loon.

Patrolling at The Crotch and one day on Cardigan. Variety is out of my vocabulary for the next couple of seasons. I'm not complaining. I'm happy to get out when I can.

....and it can be pretty damn cheap...

Very true

Last season, I didn't have a pass anywhere, but managed to get out 20 days at 8 different areas for about $450.

While this year I do have a pass to Tenney, I'm still primarily a slut  and will spend only about 30% of my time there. If all continues the way its going, I'll finish my season having skied 20-25 days at a dozen or so different mountains for right about $500.

Given that the entry level pass price with numerous black outs for most major areas is $600, it doesn't make much sense for me to get a pass to such places. The Boyne pass is slightly tempting, but SR is a touch longer than I like for a typical day trip (2.5 hours) and I don't really want to deal with weekend crowds at Loon (1.5 hours) I'll do the Tenney pass again next season if they offer another great deal. It has been WELL worth the $99.

The only scenarios that I see myself being devoted to one area again are

A. I move to within 1.5 hours of a major area I really like (possible, but unlikely)

B. I purchase a vacation home near an area (unlikely unless I change careers $$$$)

...otherwise, variety is where it's at for me. I'm having a blast skiing all over and visiting numerous places for either my first time or for the first time in many many years.

I've hit a few this month so far as well which is different for me since I've been buying SR passes.

So far:

Stowe
Sugarbush
Mt. Abram
Jay Peak

I really enjoy switching things up and going different places, exploring new terrain, and especially trying to find those treed stash shots.

Variety is the 2nd most important thing I consider when looking for a place to ski (price being the 1st).

I keep my 5x7 at Mountain Creek because it's so cheap, and gives me a place to ski when I can't make it up north for one reason or another. I also get some good deals being part of Interwest, which I plan to take advantage of later this year and definitely next. Beyond that, I try to hit up a different place each trip. The only place I've repeated is Cannon, and that's because my brother can get me $9 lift tickets.

The places I'm planning on going to for the rest of the season are...
Stratton
Loon
Whiteface
Jay

I'd also like to get to Bretton Woods for the 2-for-1 Wednesday, but the stars would have to align for that to happen, so I'm not getting my hopes up.
