I got a similar run around a few years back when they inadvertantly billed me for the purchase of a new cell phone that I never made. I called and got no response as to if this was an error or identity theft. Once it was cleared up and I was told it was billed to the wrong account, they then informed me that the account number was one's cell phone number, and someone had entered the wrong number.

So do the cancel the charge? No, of course not. They did the, "oh, you pay me now and I will pay you back" routine. :roll: I did get a credit, but still, not well handled.
