This just in. They just closed Vermont. Impending weather disaster has all roads into VT closed until Sunday Morning. Violaters will be shot on site. Please refrain from attempting this journey. Homeland Security will be on patrol, please do not plan on any ski trips to this cold and barren place. We just sold all our snow to California in a landmark natural resources deal and will be shipping it out as soon as it falls. Please go to California.

The snow contained in this storm is also highly contaminated with a substance that is often known to cause people to suddenly become sick and miss work. :puke:
When plowing through this cold substance, cases of temporary loss of sight and choking due to excessive inhalation have also been recorded. Stay away for your own safety :spin:

I just got off of the phone with Jimmie Douglas, I have been granted an exception. I must be over the Connecticut River by 2PM on Friday. I had to pull out the "my wife is a VT native as well as Native American" card. We will have to present the deed to the house, seasons passes, former VT college id's, local coffe club cards, minimum of 4 forms of id linking you to the state and have to have an escort of local friends off of the highway. It is terrible up there. If you are thinking of visiting Vermont, go to Killington, technically they are not a part of the state anyways. Stay south, the storm is tracking in that area.

As a frequent Vt. flyer I am grandfathered as an honorary Vermonter. Please don't shoot at the Black Mazda 4x4 pickup NH plates that will be in Vermont this afternoon by 2pm.

I'm exempt because deep in my heart, I truely beleive that I'm really important.

As such, I'm able to convince other people that I am too.

I own property in Vermont and consequently pay property taxes. That must allow me to cross the border since I'm paying higher rates than even full-time VT residents.

No Soup For You! 1 Week!
Where in Western Mass? I was just day dreaming about waking up Thursday in the hut on Grey Lock. With current weather trends (GlobalW), could be once-in-a-lifetime conditions on the Thuderbolt! And maybe the powerlines too!
Stay home, ski the history. ;)

I'll second that disclaimer!! Personally, I think all of us out of state VT property owners should have a trail of 2 reserved for us for what we contribute to the VT general tax fund  :uzi:

Not near Greylock, unfortunately. Near Springfield. I'm planning on hitting Magic on Friday anyway so I won't be hitting your Northern VT freshies this time.

In my mind, I'm a Vermonter (I survive on maple syrup and cheddar cheese) -- so I'm exempt from any state closure. Will sneak over the boarder on I-89.

Reminds me of the time they put a roadblock on the bridge between NJ and Delaware and said that Delaware was closed for the day. People actually turned around and left!
